Competitive Advantage
Ordinary Nets: Provide only a physical barrier. If there is a hole, or if the user's body touches the net during sleep, mosquitoes can bite through the fabric. Their protection is limited.
LLINS (Long-Lasting Insecticidal Nets): These are factory-treated with a safe, World Health Organization (WHO)-recommended insecticide, most commonly a synthetic pyrethroid. The treatment is bonded to the netting fibers in a way that allows the insecticide to be released slowly over time, maintaining its efficacy for at least three years, even with regular washing.
